Why was there no mention of rape?

Billie shows up at the ER. She has serious injuries to her face, and her boyfriend, Lou, says she fell down some stairs. Then he says it was an accident involving flying shards of glass, when he threw the glass at the wall. Turns out Lou smacked her in the face after seeing a Facebook message he…

Aaaaaand Reblog.

Does this count as another death threat?

Serves me right for saying men and women shouldn’t go around punching people in the face.

Also, if you think the young, man with the glasses and wrist-brace is me, you must be VERY VERY new here, friend.

There is nothing funny about rape. We are in agreement. But this reeks of entitlement. You aren’t privy to assaulting people on the street because they offend you. Men who take up this mantra of emotionally justified aggravated assault are called Felons.
“He said something to me so I punched him on the face” doesn’t make you a strong woman. Bragging about it doesn’t make you a strong woman. Just as a man hitting a woman does NOT make him a strong man.

Graciela Camano, the head of a Contitutional Affairs Commission, slaps her political opponent in Argintinian Parliament on live TV. I researched the incident and Graciela later said that he was ignoring her…so she slapped him across the face.

Did you see how she just walked off? I showed this to my roomate who said she’s “a strong woman”. Really? I would honestly see her (slightly) more positively if she stayed and stood up to the guy and took responsibility for getting physical — like an adult. But no, she slinks away because she’s a coward. Nothing strong or gutsy about this. I eschew violence in all its forms. Wrong is wrong.

If you disagree, simply switch the genders.
